President Abdul Hamid on Sunday provided data of his agricultural products on the occasion of Agricultural Census-2019 in presence of Planning Minister MA Mannan at Bangabhaban, reports BSS.
As part of the census, the enumerators collected data from the President on food grains, fisheries and livestock, size of the agriculture households, land use, size of the cultivated land, number of cattle and poultry, agricultural machineries, food security, fisheries and forests in the urban and rural areas across the country, President Press Secretary Joynal Abedin.The head of the state termed the agri-census a very important programme to implement various development plan of country.
Abdul Hamid advised the enumerators to collect true and correct information during the census.
“The agri-census will help to take proper and plan-wise decision to gear up the pace of development and progress of Bangladesh,” he added.
During the meeting, the planning minister apprised the President of overall activities of the Agri-Census-2019.
Mannan informed him that starting from today, the field-level data collection for the Agriculture Census-2019 would continue till June 20, for which as many as 1.5 lakh enumerators will work across the country.
