The 'post-deprived' faction of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) is continuing its sit-in programme on the Eid Day at Dhaka University campus.

On Wednesday, the faction of BCL leaders, who were deprived from posts and allegedly devalued in the organisation, was seen sitting at the base of Raju memorial sculpture on the campus.

They have joined in the protest today after saying their eid prayers at the central mosque of the campus in the morning.

They alleged that BCL central leaders are trying to save the controversial post-holders of the newly declared full-fledged central committee through not revealing their names.

Earlier, post-deprived BCL leaders began an indefinite sit-in on the campus protesting a fresh assault on them on May 20 early morning. They were allegedly assaulted by the followers of BCL General Secretary Golam Rabbani.  They, however, postponed their movement for a while.

But on 27 May, they resumed their demonstration protesting the decision of paying respects at the mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Dhanmondi and threatened to go for tougher movement if their demands are not fulfilled.
