Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Sunday demanded fresh national election under a ‘neutral government’.
Fakhrul came up with this demand at a memorial and wallpaper publishing programme on the life of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman at its central office in Nayapaltan.BNP leader warned, “I want to tell the government clearly that they have to arrange a fresh and fair election under a neutral administration immediately. Otherwise, people will wage their fair demand of free and fresh election themselves.”
Fakhrul also claimed that the country is passing through a crisis period. Some people try to term it as crisis of BNP. In fact, it is not crisis of BNP, rather a crisis for the country.”
