BSCOSP gives 48-hour ultimatum to punish Nur’s attackers

Bangladesh Shadharan Chhatra Odhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad (BSCOSP) gave a 48-hour ultimatum to punish those, who attacked it’s activists including DUCSU VP Nurul Haque Nur in Bogura on Sunday.

The ultimatum was issued during a demonstration programme of BSCOSP men staged in front of the Aparajeyo Bangla sculpture inside Dhaka University campus on Monday.

Earlier, BSCOSP activists brought out a protest rally from the base of the Raju Memorial Sculpture. The rally rounded different streets of the campus.

Several men of the BSCOSP, including DUCSU Vice President Nur, were injured in a reported attack by Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists in Satmatha highway area of Bogura while they went there to join an iftar mahfil yesterday (May 26).

Muhammad Rashed Khan, joint convener of the BSCOSP, claimed that all of the attackers are BCL men.

Refusing Rashed’s claim, BCL Bogura District Unit’s President Naimur Razzak Titas said, “I have heard the news of the attack. But, attackers are not the activists of our organisation.”

On May 25, BCL Brahmanbaria district unit also obstructed an iftar mahfil of Nurul Haque Nur in Masjid Road area of Brahmanbaria.
