Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will return home after receiving medical treatment in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, on Thursday night.
Sayrul Kabir Khan, a staff of BNP chairperson's media wing, revealed this to the journalists on Thursday.Sayrul Kabir said, “BNP Secretary General will return home tonight. He will brief on the current political situation of the country in a press conference, to be held at BNP chairperson's Gulshan office at 11:00am, Friday.”
He also said senior leaders of BNP would be present in the press conference.
Fakhrul, accompanied by his wife Rahat Ara Begum, left Dhaka on board a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight for Bangkok to get treatment on May 15.
The BNP leader received treatment at Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok for various health complexities including problems in his internal carotid artery.
