Natore Jubo League (JL) leader Jamil Hossain Milon, who has been missing since February 1, finally returned home early Thursday.
Milon, a nomination seeker from the ruling Awami League (AL) for the chairman post in the Natore Sadar Upazila Parishad election, was allegedly picked up by law enforcers on February 1.Failing to get nomination from his party, he decided to contest as an independent candidate and was allegedly kidnapped three months and twenty three days ago before submitting the nomination paper.
Milon, son of Emdadul Haque Niazi of Taltola village of the Upazila, reached at his residence by walking this morning.
After returning home Milon said that, “I was kept locked in a tiny room and provided with foods beneath the door. I was freed early Thursday around 2:00am and given TK 2000.”
Earlier, Milon’s father alleged that some members of law enforcing agencies, in white dresses, picked up his son on February 1 this year.
Then, local people hold rallies, human-chains and blocking for Milon seeking his information.
Milon was accused of thirteen criminal cases with Natore Sadar Police Station for his involvement in drugs trading, keeping illegal arms.
