Discrimination in EC’s iftar items, ‘menu card’ goes viral

The menu card of Bangladesh Election Commission’s iftar programme went viral on social media where many people alleged that the constitutional body has discriminated while serving iftar items to the invitees.

The Election Commission arranged the iftar party at Nirbachan Bhaban in city's Agargaon on Tuesday.

Witnesses said Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda along with others commissioners got plates full of delicious Iftar items, but other general employees of the commission received less items of the iftar menu.

Two menu cards are available on social media where one contained 14 items but other included only 11.

While asked about the discrimination, no one in the Election Commission was interested to comment on the matter.
