The process for admission of the qualified candidates of SSC and its equivalent examinations to colleges for the academic session of 2019-20 has been going on.

Class XI admission process started on May 9 and is scheduled to end on May 26.

Recent qualified candidates of SSC and its equivalent exams are eagerly submitting their applications countrywide through online or SMS using Teletalk mobile phone to secure their seats in desired colleges.

Some candidates are allegedly facing problems while applying for colleges as they found that applications have already been submitted using their names and information.

Hundreds of candidates and their guardians are gathering at Dhaka Education Board office from the distant corners of the city to suspend these ‘ghost’ applications every day.

Officials of the board are to face difficulties due to the pressure of their applications.

Professor Dr. Harun-ur-Rashid, College Inspector of the board, said, “We have already received more than five hundred applications. We have started identifying these fake applications. Action will be taken against the culprits.”

He also informed that some 16,44,548 candidates have already submitted applications till now.
