Expatriates’ Welfare minister Imran Ahmed pays courtesy visit to Anwar Ibrahim

State Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmed held a courtesy meeting with Malaysia’s ruling coalition Pakatan Harapan President Anwar Ibrahim’s office in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.

While talking to the minister Anwar Ibrahim said, “Bangladesh is growing faster with the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The people of Bangladesh is very industries. Malaysian government is working for wages, residence and welfare of the Bangladeshi labourers.”

Imran Ahmed went to Malaysia on May 12 for a week-long visit. Earlier, he held meeting with Malaysian Human Resources Minister M Kulasegaran and Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.

The Welfare and Overseas Employment State Minister also sought more Malaysian investments in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia Muhammad Shahidul Islam, Councilor (Labour) Md Jahirul Islam, First Secretary Md Hedayetul Islam Mondal (Labour) were also present during the visit.
