Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday said she didn’t long for posts, even think of posts in student politics and was not in a major post in her carrier.
Sheikh Hasina commemorated this when leaders of Awami League and its associated bodies came to her official residence Ganabhaban to greet her marking Homecoming Day.“I was involved in politics from my school life. I was a member of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), when I went to college and university accordingly. Although, my political career began with student politics, I was neither appointed in major post, nor longed for it,” premier said.
Recalling the university life, Sheikh Hasina also said she was only a member of BCL Dhaka University unit when she was studying in the University of Dhaka. We used to crate posts and let others sit on the posts.
Prime Minister came up with such comment at a time when a factional clash broke out between the post-deprived and the post-holders of BCL, the student wing of ruling Awami League, after a 301-member central committee was announced on May 13.
At this time, she also urged everyone to stay alert so that anti- liberation forces and war criminals cannot return to power.
