Mediterranean Sea Tragedy: Identities of 27 Bangladeshi deceased revealed

The Red Crescent Society has confirmed the identities of departed persons, who died when their boat capsized in the Mediterranean Sea off the Tunisian coast en route to Europe from Libya on Friday.

Citing Tunisian Red Crescent Society provincial head Dr Mangi Silam, Imam Zafar, a director of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, said, four Bangladeshi survivors ensured us the identities of the victims over telephone.

Shishir, a survivor of the tragedy, informed over telephone six Bangladeshi, who survived the sea capsize, are from Naira in Shariatpur. They were identified as Rajib, Uttam, Parvez, Roni, Sumon and Jumman.
