Unauthorised visa processing by a Dubai-based private firm may hamper Bangladesh’s labour market in the UAE.

Recently, Dubai-based private firm OnTime Government Services published an advertisement in a newspaper declaring to start processing VISA and Medical Services for Bangladeshi visa seekers in the UAE.

But experts fear that this move will cause obstacles to Bangladesh’s labour market in the UAE as the firm is not authorised to operate visa processing services in Bangladesh.

The local Unique Group and RB Industries have signed a Memorandum of Understand (MoU) with UAE-based firm separately to facilitate visa processing services to the UAE.

According to sources, the Dubai based Ontime Government Services doesn’t have any legal authorisation to process recruitment VISA from Bangladesh.

Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) director general Salim Reza and Dr Ahmed Munirus Saleheen, additional secretary of Migrant welfare wing have tarnished image of the government by attending the singing function, people familiar with the situation said.

The Dubai based company used to operate as a support centre for visa seekers.
