With a view to simplifying the donation and Islamic lifestyle, mobile network operator Robi today introduced country’s first ever digital platform “Noor app”.

Using the app, Robi customers can digitally donate their zakat or sadaqah money to a number of verified charitable organizations.

Besides, the online zakat feature Robi in association with Bidyanondo Foundation is also introducing the first ever digital Iftar Vending machine “Amar Iftar”, which will enable the street children and elderly of the society to avail Iftar during the Holy month of Ramadan.

Robi customers will be able to contribute to the Amar Iftar initiative through purchasing recharge bundles. For every purchase of Taka 43 bundle by the customers, Robi will donate Taka 2 to the Bidyanondo Foundation under the initiative on behalf of the customers.

For every purchase of Taka 118 recharge bundle, the donation amount will be Taka 4.

The first ever digital Iftar vending machines will be stationed in various locations in Dhaka, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Rangpur and Rajshahi.
