Tamanna, elder daughter of Rowshan Ali and Khadija Parveen, was born with physical disability. She appeared in this year’s SSC examinations from Bakra J. K. High School of her area.
School headmaster Helal Khan said, “Tamanna has obtained GPA-5 like PSC and JSC examinations. Tamanna, science group student, is very attentive to her studies. She can draw well along with the sketches of geometry and science related figures. She has bagged many prizes in drawing competitions at upazial and district level.”

Tamanna’s mother Khadiza Parveen said, “Tamanna was born without two hands and one leg. But she can do her works herself.”
Tamanna does all the works from eating to studying with her lone leg.
“At first, Tamanna’s parents were refused to admit her (Tamanna) in school. Later, Rubina Akhter, a private school teacher, managed the authorities to admit her in her school on my husband’s request,” Khadiza Parveen added.
Khadiza Parveen said, “Tamana is a meritorious student from her childhood. She stood first exceeding all in grade-3.”
Rowshan Ali, Tamanna’s father, is a small grocer. But Tamanna wants to uphold her head to the sky.
“I want to overcome all obstacles utilising my one leg and merits. I want to be doctor, so that I can prove that physically challenged persons are not burdens to our society.”
