President condemns Sri Lanka attack

President Abdul Hamid on Sunday strongly condemned the series blasts targeting three churches and three hotels in Sri Lanka.

In a message, President Abdul Hamid expressed deep shock at the loss of lives in the blasts and prayed for the early recovery of the injured ones, said President’s principal information officer Joynal Abedin.

He conveyed deep sympathy to the government and the people of Sri Lanka.

At least 138 people have died in a series of Easter Sunday blasts targeting three churches and three hotels, AP reports quoting Sri Lanka's state-run newspaper Daily News.

Daily News says more than 500 others have been hospitalized with injuries caused by the blasts.
