A case has been filed against a teacher of a high school on allegations of sexually harassing a sixth grader at Shamnagar in Satkhira. 

The sued teacher was identified as Hafizur Rahman, teacher of Govt. Nakipur HC (Hari Charan) Pilot High School and son of Eshak Mallik of Kalinagar village of the upazila.

Officer-in-Charge of Shamnagar Police Station Habil Hossain said the teacher sexually harassed the girl on April 15 (Monday) around 12:30 pm during classes.

The victim informed the matter to her parents following which they filed the case on Wednesday afternoon.

The teacher has been on the run since the incident.
