Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malek has said the government will appoint some 15,000 physicians within a few months.
The minister came up with the disclosure at a discussion marking the Health Day at Krishibid Institution in the capital on Sunday.
A total of 150 new Intensive Care Units (ICU) will be set up in different hospitals of the country, the health minister said adding that the government is working to ensure healthcare service for every citizen.
Zahid Malek said, “Out of total 15,000 doctors, we would be able to employ some 5,000 doctors within next two months.”
“I urge the authorities of the private hospitals to reduce their fees or charges for the patients because many people are dependent on the treatment of those hospitals,” the health minister added.
