An organisation works with the autism demanded introduction of separate section for autistic children at government and private educational institution in the port city.
The organisation ‘Nishpap Foundation’ General Secretary Engineer Jhulan Kumar Das made the demand at a press conference organised marking the ‘World Autism Awareness Day’ at Chattogram Press Club on Monday.Jhulan said education for autistic children is costlier than general one and many guardians cannot bear the expenses.
Government supports in this regard can help ensure proper education for the affected children, he said.
A total of 12 autistic children from Chattogram took part in the national scouts programme this year and proved that they can show talents if get the opportunity.
The foundation President M Nasirul Hoque, Vice President Khorshedul Alam Kaderi, Joint Secretary Sujit Kumar Dutta, Finance Secretary Ashutosh Dey, Dream Stars Autism Academy Principal Tahmina Jerin, Dipaloy Autism Academy Principal Dipa Mukharjee and Matrisneho Autism Academy Principal Chumki Chakrabartya were present at the press conference among others.
