A story of trauma and triumph and the unquashable human spirit”, 'Chhapaak' tells an inspirational story of an acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. As Deepika Padukone plays the acid attack survivor in the film, the actress is working hard to get into the skin of the character.

Earlier, Meghna Gulzar in an interview had shared that Deepika is the perfect one to play the role as she actually feels the character.

The film is all set to go on the floors soon and currently the team is working on the looks of the actress. The first look of Deepika as acid attack survivor Laxmi was revealed of late and it has amused the audiences with the uncanny resemblance of the actress with Laxmi.

On April 2, Deepika took to her instagram account and shared a BTS picture as she does her 'homework' with the script and dialogue.
