Brutalities of Jamaat to be included in the curriculum: Mozammel Haque

Liberation War minister AKM Mozammel Haque has said that government is working on the inclusion of the genocides, brutalities, rapes and atrocities of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami during Liberation War in 1971 in the curriculum.

He came up with this remark at a seminar titled ‘The Genocide of March 25, 1971 and Our thinking’ at National Press Club in the capital on Sunday.

“We are going to include the genocide and rape incidents of Jamaat in the national curriculum so that our new generation don’t forget them’, Mozammel Haque said.

Urging people from all walks of life to raise their voices to materialise the demand of the recognition of March 25, 1971 as ‘International Genocide Day’ he said, “The government has been working to bag this recognition in the international arena. Our ambassadors and envoys are working in this regard so that no one opposes our proposal at the United Nations’ general assembly.”

He also expressed his discontentment saying that the diplomats failed to uphold the background of March 25 genocide in the international arena while UNOs were going to observe this day as ‘International Genocide Day’.
