Indian cricketer Sonu Yadav dies while practicing

Kolkata based cricketer Sonu Yadav died while practicing on-the-field. Yadav used to play for Ballygunge Sporting Club. While batting on Wednesday, he suddenly fell ill and was instantly rushed to the nearby hospital. This happened at 11:30 in the morning. He was declared dead in the SSKM hospital.


Yadav was 22 and he was touted as a promising wicketkeeper-batsman and played the second division cricket. The cause of the death remains unknown as it can only be confirmed after post-mortem is done. It was 24 Ghanta who reported about the tragic incident. He was initially taken to CAB’s medical unit from where it was advised that he is rushed to the hospital.
