A three-day long BASIS SoftExpo kicks off with a view to showcase innovations in information technology-enabled services.
Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar will inaugurate the expo organised by BASIS and government’s information and communication technology (ICT) division at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital on Tuesday.Around 250 local and international firms will showcase services at 10 zones in the expo arena, said the organisers at a media meet at BASIS secretariat in Karwan Bazar of the capital on Monday. ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak along with ICT Division Secretary Ziaul Alam and LICT Project Director Rezaul Karim spoke at the meeting.
BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir and SoftExpo Convener Farhana A Rahman were also present on the occasion. State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak said the government has been working together with private sector for development of local software sector to enhance the pace of Digital Bangladesh.
