World Consumer Rights Day celebrated at IU

Islamic University: The teachers and students of different departments of Islamic University celebrated the World Consumer Rights Day 2019 on the campus in Kushtia on Saturday, reports UNB.

Marking the day, a procession led by IU CYB President Shamimul Islam Sumon was taken out from in front of the university’s Arts Faculty building around 11:00 am. The procession ended at the same place after parading main roads of the campus.

Around one-hundred CYB members took part on the rally.

IU Pro Vice-chancellor Professor M Shahinoor Rahman was present at the programme as the chief guest while Treasurer Professor M Selim Toha, CYB moderator Professor M Maher Ali, IU transport administrator Professor Rezuwanul Islam, Tourism and Hospitality Management department’s lecturer Shoriful Islam Jewel and CYB central joint-secretary Emran Shuvro, among others, were present as special guests.
