COX’S BAZAR: Rohingyas shot two Bangladeshi nationals to death reportedly to take revenge of death of a Rohingya robber who was killed in a ‘gunfight’ with Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) at Teknaf upazila in the district on Friday night.

The deceased identified as quack Hamid, 41, son of Mohammad Hossain, and grocer Hasan Ali, 35, son of Mohammad Salam, residents of Nayapara and Muchhani Rohingya camp areas respectively.

Sources said Rohingya robber Nurul Alam, 32, was killed in a gunfight with the Rab in Damdamia area under the upazila on early Friday.

Following death of Nurul, his fellows alleged that Hamid and Hasan were involved with the killing and they publicly declared to take revenge of it.

Drives were going on to arrest the accused involved with the incidents, he added.
