Discussion on ‘Bengali Language’ held at Islamic University

A discussion on 'Bengali Language' was held at Birshrestha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium of Islamic University in Kushtia on Thursday.


IU organised the discussion programme on the occasion of 'Amar Ekushey', the Language Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day.


Prof Abdul Khalek, current Vice-chancellor of North Bengal International University and former VC of Rajshahi University, addressed the programme as the chief guest while IU Pro-VC Prof M Shahinoor Rahman and Treasurer Prof M Selim Toha were present as special guests with the university VC Prof M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari in the chair, reports UNB.


Around 1,000 teachers and students of different departments took part in the programme.
