BGB-BSF DG-level border confce held at Benapole

BENAPOLE: A four-day long director general-level border conference between the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Border Security Force (BSF) has started at a hotel in Jashore on Sunday morning.

Before that, Additional Director General, Abu Taher Md Ibrahim congratulation with the flower to the delegation of BSF, who is led by Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, Inspector General (IG) of BSF in Benapole Check post no-mans land.

The 15-member of BSF delegation led by its Regional Commander of the Northwestern Region Additional Director General Abu Taher Md Ibrahim, Officials from Home Ministry,   Foreign Affairs Ministry and Department of Narcotics Control have also been present in the conference.

On the other hand, an 11-member Indian delegation, led by BSF Inspector General (IG) Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, was attended the conference. Officials from BSF North Bengal, Guwahati, Indian Government Foreign Affairs Ministry and Department of Narcotics Control have also presents the meeting.

Various issues discussed including drug smuggling, firearms, arms and ammunition trafficking, killing of Bangladeshi nationals in border, detention, illegal border crossing, building border fence, BGB-BSF joint petrol, increasing mutual trust between the two forces.
