Bangladeshi products drew attention to the visitors in Ambiente Frankfurt, the world’s biggest consumer goods fair, held in Germany recently.
Some 35 exhibitors of Bangladesh participated in the five-day fair ended on February 12.
The exhibitors said they had received good response as Ambiente is one of the biggest platform of products including dining, cooking, household items, furnishings and ornaments, interior design, gifts, jewelry and fashion accessories.
They said Bangladesh has been participating in Ambiente for many years and a number of industries have been developed from this participation such as ceramics and jute products.
Md Rashedul Karim Munna, managing director of Creation Private limited, said they got new inquiries from the fair. “Ambiente fair is so big and we can’t miss this fair,” he said.
Afsana Asif, the representative of Asix BD, said “I have been participating in the fair for the last 3 years at Ambiente, and it has helped me grow and make me focused on the knowledge to work globally with the strength of our local products.”
Ambiente participation has made them more responsible to grow socially, she added.
The exhibitors from Bangladesh participated and showcased products including Paragon Ceramic, Shinepukur, Peoples Ceramic, Monno Ceramic, FARR Ceramics, San Trade and RFL Plastics etc and some individual stands. Besides, Prokritee, Saidpur Enterprises, Artisan house, Asix BD, Aranya Crafts and others participated in the expo under the Export Promotion Bureau Pavilion.
This year, a total of 4,400 exhibitors took part in the fair visited by over 140,000 buyers.
The next Ambiente Frankfurt will be held in 2020.
Ambiente will also be held in India in June 2019, Interior Lifestyle Tokyo will be held in July 2019 and Interior Lifestyle China will be in September
