Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal left Dhaka for Italy on Tuesday morning to attend the 42nd Session of the Governing Council of International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) to be held in Rome.
The theme of the 42nd IFAD Governing Council is “Rural Innovation and Entrepreneurship” which is a key part of the IFAD11 Commitment to embrace a culture of results and innovation.
A Finance Ministry official confirmed that the Finance Minister will return home on February 17 after wrapping up his five-day visit.
Specialized referendum of enabling rural transformation, IFAD has a pivotal role to play in creating the conditions for innovation and entrepreneurship to thrive in rural areas and improve poor people’s livelihoods and prospects.
This annual meeting is also going to focus on Women who are playing major contribution to agriculture and rural economies as well as climate change.
