Amar Bhashar Cholocchitro begins at DU tomorrow

A six-day-long film festival titled 'Amar Bhashar Cholocchitro 1425’, organized by Dhaka University Film Society, is going to kick off tomorrow on the premises of DU Teacher-Student Center (TSC) in the capital.

This is the 18th edition of the film fest which will continue from February 10 to 15.

Total sixteen full-length films and four short films will be screened at the six-day film fest.

The festival will be inaugurated by Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar with DU former VC Prof. Arefin Siddique and prominent film director Nasiruddin Yousuff Bacchu in attendance.

On February 13, on the third day of the festival, Hiralal Sen Padak ceremony will be held as a part of the fest where Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, DU Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) Prof Nasreen Ahmed, and other prominent personalities of the country’s film industry are expected to remain present.

The festival will come to an end on February 15 through organizing a seminar and with a short film screening.
