Oikya Front to wear black badge Wednesday against ‘vote robbery’

Jatiya Oikya Front is going to form a human chain wearing black badge in the capital on Wednesday, protesting what it said 'vote robbery' in the December-30 national election.

The programme will begin at 3pm in front of the Jatiya Press Club and conclude at 4 pm with the participation of Oikya Front leaders and activists.

Senior leaders of the alliance will address the programme, said Gono Forum training affairs secretary Rafiqul Islam Pathik.

On January 31 last, Jatiya Oikya Front spokesman Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the programme after a meeting of the steering committee of the alliance at Dr Kamal Hossain's Motijheel chamber.

Besides, the alliance will hold a public hearing with the participation of Oikya Front candidates and victimised voters on February 24 on the same ground.

Jatiya Oikya Front, a platform of five parties, including BNP and Gono Forum, turned down the December-30 election results, bringing the allegations of massive 'vote robbery'.
