2-day training session for BSA officers held

Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) arranged a two-day-long training session for its officers with a view to implementing its cultural activity plans of this year in the districts and upazilas across the country.

Held at the auditorium of Cos’x Bazar Biam Foundation and presided over by BSA director Liaquat Ali Lucky, the session provided trainings to some 63 BSA officers from its Dhaka and district offices.

BSA Secretary and Drama and Film Department director Badrul Anam Bhuyan, its Publication and Research Department director Md Jashim Uddin, and Dr. Kazi Asaduzzaman were present at the event.

The workshop thoroughly focused on the cultural activity plans for the whole year, educational activities of district branches of BSA, district Shilpakala Academy award, documentations of traditional Bangla plays and makings of Jatra Palas in 64 districts, formations of small groups for cultural activities etc. At the event, the district Shilpakala Academy officers presented the reports of the activities of their respective offices.

A cultural event was also held at the end of the first day’s training on January 25.

Besides, 14 officers were awarded ‘Creative Cultural Officers Award 2018’ as the recognitions of their better performances. The training session ended on January 26 at 2:00 pm. At the end of the programme, BSA director Liaquat Ali said, “It was not only a workshop, but also a work-plan for our future advancement.” He expressed his optimism about it as well.
