Four women major of Bangladesh Army’s long course have been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
They are – Sanjida Hossain, Syeda Nazia Royhan, Farhana Afrin and Sarah Amir.
Army chief General Aziz Ahmed adorned four Major with the rank badge of Lieutenant Colonel at the Army Headquarters on Thursday.
Senior military officials were also present at that time.
Mentionable that as part of the Prime Minister’s commitment to women empowerment, women officers are being appointed regularly in the long course of Bangladesh Army since 2000.
These women officers who started from the 47th long course have already been successful in showing their professional skills in their workplace.
As part of their capacity, four women officers were promoted from Major to Lieutenant Colonel.
