Two Bangladeshi women return home from Indian jail

BENAPOLE: Two Bangladeshi women return home through Benapole check post on Monday night after serving four years jail in Indian.

BSF handed them over to Benapole check post BGB camp.

The returnees, Fatima Khatun, 24, daughter of Moslem Sarder and Shilpi Khatun, 18, daughter of Babul Hossain hailing from Dinajpur Sadar.

Shilpi Khatun said that a gang of human traffickers sent them to Kolkata in search of good jobs.

Subeder Monir Hossain, Benapole check post BGB camp said Kolkata police arrested them from Kolkata city for illegally entered in India and sent them to Kolkata jail.

An Indian court sentenced them to four years imprisonment each and sent them to Kolkata Central Jail.

On completion of their jail terms, the Indian government has returned them following the two countries of home ministry through letters several times.
