Bangladesh U-19 squad for home series against England announced

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced Bangladesh U-19 squad for the home series against visiting England U-19 team on Saturday.

England Under-19 cricket team is scheduled to arrive on Sunday on a month-long tour of Bangladesh to play the Youth T20I, three-match Youth ODIs and two-match four-day Youth Test series against Bangladesh set to take place at Cox’s Bazar and Chattogram.

The visiting side will start their Bangladesh campaign with a lone warm-up match against Bangladesh which is scheduled to be held on January 25 at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium (SKICS) before their participation in the lone youth T20 matches set to commence on January 27 at the same venue.

The English side will play three youth ODI matches at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar on January 29, 31 and February 2.

After the ODI series, England Under-19 cricket team will travel to Chattrogram where the visitors will take part in their first four-day match scheduled to be held at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram from February 7 to February 10.

The second and final four-day series is set to take place from February 15 to February 18 at the same venue.

The England Under-19 cricket team will leave Bangladesh on February 19.

Bangladesh U-19 squad: Akbar Ali (Capt), Mohammad Prantik Nawrose, Tanzid Hasan, Mohammad Parvez Hossain, Mahmudul Hasan, Amite Hasan, Shahmim Hossain (Vice-captain), Shahadat Hossain, Rakibul Hasan, Ashraful Islam Siam, Mohammad Rishad Hossain, Ruhel Ahmed, Mohammad Shahin Alom, Mohammad Mrittunjoy Chowdhury and Tanzim Hasan Sakib.

Moreover, five cricketers — Sajid Hossan Seam, Minhazur Rahman Mohana, Mujakkir Hosain, Asadullah Hill Galib and Fazle Rabbi have been kept standby.
