Govt plans to launch second satellite: Mannan

Planning Minister M A Mannan on Thursday said the government has a plan to launch the country’s second satellite and build the third bridge over the river Jamuna.

 

“The country has launched the country’s first satellite Bangabandhu-I. We have a plan to lunch the second satellite and build the third bridge after second one over the river Jamuna,” he told a reception ceremony at Sylhet Press Club.

 

The minister said under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the country is moving fast towards development.

 

He also sought cooperation from all in properly discharging his job given by the prime minister.

 

Sylhet Press Club President Ekramul Kabir chaired the function.

 

Earlier, the minister attended a fresher’s reception at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).

 

SUST Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed chaired the function.
