Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen will brief diplomats stationed in Dhaka at state guest house Padma at 4 pm Thursday, UNB reports.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam and Foreign Secretary M Shahidul Haque will also present at the meeting.
Bangladesh is likely to seek international community's stronger support to achieve its development goals including Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and effective role in resolving Rohingya crisis, a diplomatic source said.
Bangladesh is giving much importance on economic diplomacy and the issue might also get focus in the briefing apart from global and regional issues.
This is going to be the first such briefing after the 11th parliamentary elections and formation of the new government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the third conservative term.
