Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque on Tuesday has directed the directors of government hospitals, institutions and principals of medical colleges to take work plan to ensure quality health service.
“All have to work with highest sincerity and transparency to make the government hospitals as patient friendly,” he said.The minister came up with the statement while exchanging views at a meeting with directors of different government hospitals, institutions and principals of medical colleges at his secretariat office in the capital.
State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr Murad Hassan, Health Services Division Secretary Md Asadul Islam, Medical Education and Family Welfare Division Secretary GM Saleh Uddin and DGHS Director General Abul Kalam Azad were present, among others.
Presiding over the meeting, Zahid Maleque said a monitoring network will be set up to maintain attendance of manpower in hospitals, maintenance of infrastructure and instruments and cleanness.
“The network will bring all hospitals from capital to grassroots under regular tougher surveillance through modern information technology. Even the hospitals of remote areas also will not remain detached from this network,” he added.
