BNP-Jamaat men sued in Sirajganj

A case was filed against over 200 leaders and activists of BNP and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in Sadar upazila for attacking police and obstructing them from discharging their duties.


Sub-inspector of Sadar Police Station Jimel filed the case naming 173 BNP-Jamaat men, including district BNP general secretary Saidur Rahman, at noon.


Meanwhile, police arrested three BNP men in connection with the case.


According to the case statement, BNP leaders and activists threw brick chips at a police vehicle at Kabibari Road in the district town on Friday that left four policemen injured.
