'Civil Festival 2018' held at IUBAT

A day-long Civil Engineering Festival titled “Civil Festival 2018” was organized at the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT). 


The Civil Engineering Department of the university organized the festival.  The day started with the arrival of students from different polytechnic institutes and colleges around Bangladesh. The students participated in mechanics and math Olympiad. Some students had also come up with an interesting project related to the civil engineering field.


Syed Azizul Haq, P.Engg, Additional Chief Engineer, Public Works Department gave a seminar on Rainwater harvesting, Prof. Nadim Khandaker from the Department of Civil Engineering, North South University also gave a seminar on the topic of Appropriate Technology and Right Engineering Application and Md. Nur-Alam Nahid, MD, Trigger Corporation and Alumni of Civil Engineering Department of IUBAT delivered a workshop on the challenges in Fire Fighting. A discussion program was organized in the afternoon. Vice Chancellor IUBAT, Prof. Dr. Abdur Rab presided over the ceremonial program.


Md. Atahar Ali (Additional Secretary), Managing Director Milk Vita Bangladesh milk producer corporative Union Limited (Ministry of LGRD & Co-operatives.


 Prof Dr. MD. Monirul Islam, Dean, College of Engineering and technology and Chair, Department of Civil Engineering of IUBAT was the chief patron of the program.


Later, a pleasant cultural program was organized by civil engineering Students and Alumni.
