The 11th parliament election will be held on December 23, the Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda announced on Thursday.
He also urged all political parties to participate in the election for continuation of democracy and development of the country.
Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda came up with the announcement of the poll schedule in a nationwide address over television and radio at 7:00pm.
Under the poll schedule, a total of 104.3 million voters will exercise their franchise to elect a new parliament on December 23, 2018 to replace the 10th parliament.
As per the declared poll schedule, election aspirants have been asked to submit their nominations by November 19. The last date for scrutiny has been fixed on 22 November and for withdrawal of candidacy on 29 November.
