BARGUNA: Two sisters drowned in a pond at Pujakhola village under Amtoli upazila of the district on Tuesday, reports BSS.

The victims were identified as Tisha Moni, 7, daughter of Murshed Hawlader and her cousin Mithila, 5, daughter of Mijanur Rahman, residents of the same village.

Chairman of Amtoli Sadar union parishad M Motahar Uddin said the girls fell into the pond and drowned while they were playing on the side of it.
