Newly-appointed acting secretary of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Sajjadul Hasan has joined his office.
Officials and employees of different divisions of the PMO greeted him with bouquets after he joined the office on Thursday. Morning, reports BSS.
On the occasion, the new acting PMO secretary sought cooperation of all.
Prior to his new assignment, Sajjadul served as the private secretary-1 to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He is the second son of late Dr Akhlakul Hossain Ahmed, a member of Gana Parishad, and Begum Hosnre Ara Hossain.
Sajjadul did his honours in Agricultural Economics and completed master's degree in Production Economics and Farm Management from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh.
In 1988, he joined Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) cadre (administration). Later, he obtained his master's of science (honors) degree from University of Western Sydney, Australia. His research papers were published in different Indian and Australian journals.
He is a syndicate member of BAU.
Sajjadul served as divisional commissioner in Sylhet as well as deputy commissioner in Cox's Bazar and Sylhet districts.
Besides, he worked in different capacities at the Ministries of Public Administration, Communication and Agriculture.
