BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Tuesday said that the under construction multipurpose Padma Bridge is risky to get on as it is being constructed of patchwork.
The BNP chief also urged people not to get on this bridge saying there’ll be huge risk.
Khaleda Zia made this call while speaking at a discussion at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) arranged by Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) marking its 39th founding anniversary.
She said though the government is dreaming of building the Padma Bridge, it can’t be constructed during the tenure of the current government.
“The Padma Bridge won’t be constructed during the Awami League’s rule. Even, if they somehow construct the bridge, please don’t get on it as there’ll be huge risk,” Khaleda added.
