Nation proud of Bangabandhu's March 7 Speech recognition: Mosharraf

Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD) Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain has said the nation is proud as the 7th March speech of the Father of the Nation has been recognised by UNESCO as part of the world's documentary heritage.

 

"Every single word of the speech was an inspiration for the freedom fighters. So, now the nation is proud of the recognition by UNESCO," he said.

 

He was speaking as chief guest at a discussion at Faridpur as a part of celebrating the UNESCO recognition of the historic March 7 speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in a befitting manner across the country tomorrow.

 

Faridpur district administration organised the programme with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Umme Salma Tanzia in the chair.

 

Mosharraf said, "It was not a mere speech but a philosophy to realize rights of every freedom-loving people of the world." "This speech continues to enthral people and will continue to inspire the succeeding generations of this country," he added.
