The arrestee was identified as Mohammad Asif, 21. Kazi Wazed, Officer-in-Charge of Badda Police Station, said “After the case, police started investigation to identify the accused. We were searching for Asif since the incident of murder as he is a listed accused in the case.”
“Later, Asif was arrested from Comilla town early on Wednesday,” he added.
During a briefing in this regard, Mostak Ahmed, deputy commissioner of DMP (Gulshan zone), told journalists that Nasim had assaulted Asif the day before he was murdered.
“During preliminary interrogation, Asif confessed that he stabbed Nasim to death,” he added.
However, the murder has nothing to do with the BPL, said the police official.
