New York City


One of the most exciting cities in the world, New York City is a much celebrated destination, and its skyline is astounding. Perhaps the most popular skyline of all, New York City is home to numerous high-rises, and has an ever-growing dominance over pop culture that refuses to fade. You can head to the Observation Deck at the famous Empire State Building to see the New York City skyline, or you can also go on top of the Rock at Rockefeller Centre. Both these places offer unique vistas of the New York City skyline, definitely worth your time.




The City of Lights, Paris is one of the most romantic cities in the world, and is forever in the bucket list of travellers. The city’s skyline is punctuated by the famed Eiffel Tower, besides some skyscrapers, and the rest of it is old and beautiful. Here in Paris, every season brings its own customised charm that is hard to avoid. Your best bet in enjoying the sweeping view of the Paris skyline is of course the observation deck of the Eiffel Tower. Then again, there is the south tower of Notre Dame that will allow you to see the Eiffel Tower and La Defense, along with other important structures. The cosmopolitan Japanese city is one of the finest places to travel to, and is also one of the most interesting ones. In the city of Tokyo you have the mega-towers towering way above the city, making a statement like no other. There are some famous observation points to view the Tokyo skyline. The best part about the Tokyo skyline is the possibility of seeing Mount Fuji on a clear day. Tokyo Skytree, which has two observation decks, is the most popular place to view the city’s panoramic views currently. But you also have the Tokyo Tower that allows you to see Mount Fuji. The Tokyo Tower is in itself a very popular building, so you can explore it as well.


Rio de Janeiro


Of course when talking about Rio de Janeiro, the first thing that strikes your mind is the iconic statue of Christ the Redeemer, but the city in itself is magnificent when seen from a vantage point. One of the best views for the Rio skyline is from the Dois Irmãos or Two Brothers Mountain. The hike to this place is pretty gruesome, so you can take the bus as well. You can take bus numbers 360, 2335, 2335 or 2338 from Leblon, Ipanema or Copacabana Beach. Sunset is the best time to be here; you can also try the morning time for that perfect sunrise. There are some places from you can see Christ the Redeemer as well, and it is a divine sight. The massive structure looking down upon the city with open arms is a sight to behold.


Hong Kong


Yet another city of sky scrapers and delightful wonders, Hong Kong is a fascinating Asian city with close to 7000 of these buildings. All of this with Victoria Peak being one of the main attractions, and you can watch distant birds fly away into the horizon. The city has many vantage points that would enthrall your senses, including standing atop Victoria Peak. You can also head to the Tsim Sha Tsui promenade, which is a very popular place in Hong Kong. This one is located right opposite the Victoria Harbour, and here you can also witness a light show that is magnificent and grandiose to say the least. All in all, if you happen to be in Hong Kong, it might be worth your time to hunt down that perfect vantage point for the city’s skyline.
