National Productivity Day to be observed October 2

The country will observe the National Productivity Day on October 2 to create mass awareness for boosting productivity in different sectors including agriculture, industry and service sectors.

 

National Productivity Organization chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the day, said a PID handout.

 

The main theme of the day this year is ‘Productivity for Sustainable Development and Growth.’

 

As part of the programme, a colorful rally, led by Industries secretary Mohammad Abdullah, will be brought out from the road adjacent to Osmani Memorial Auditorium around 8am with participation of officials of different ministries, owners and workers of different industries, reports UNB.

 

Besides, a seminar titled ‘ Productivity for Sustainable Development and Growth’ will be held at CIRDAP auditorium around 11am.

 

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed will be present as the chief guest at the seminar organised by NPO.

 

President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have issued separate messages on this occasion .

 

Besides, NPO has published booklets, souvenir and posters marking the day.
