Flood situation worsens in Natore

The flood situation has worsened in Natore district in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning.


The water level of the Atrai River is flowing 30cm above danger level in ferry ghat point of Singra upazila.


Hat, bazaars, houses, different establishments and low lying areas of the district have been inundated by the floodwaters.


The flood situation will worsen more if the rise of water level continues, said Shudhangshu Kumar Sarker, executive engineer of Bangladesh Water Development Board of the district.


Besides, residents of Nurullapur area of Lalpur upazila are passing days in fear as blocks of flood embankment in Padma River collapsed.
