In their separate drives in different parts of the district, police arrested 34 people from Saturday to Sunday morning on various charges, reports UNB.

Of the arrestees, 15 people were held from Sadar upazila, six from Kolaroa, two from Tala, two from Kaliganj, three from Shyamnagar, three from Ashashuni, one from Debhata and two from Patkelghata upazilas, said Mizanur Rahman, an inspector of the Special Branch of Satkhira police.

They are accused in different cases like acts of sabotage and drug abuse, the police officer added.
