Mina Bazar, two others fined for expired food

Armed Police Battalion (APBN) Sunday expedited drives against selling of adulterated food and expired fire extinguishers and other consumer items and fined owners of three business installations, including super shop Mina Bazar in the metropolis. 

APBN in cooperation with a team of Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) conducted the drive in different areas, including Dhanmondi and Sabujbag in the city. 

A team of APBN-5 led by senior assistant police super M Saidur Rahman and DNCRP Assistant Director Abdur Jabbar Mondal conducted the drives and fined three shops Taka 51,000 on charges of possessing and selling substandard, unhygienic and date expired items. 

They said the drive will continue against the adulterated food items and expired goods.
